LIFE and Transit carolling

This year, LIFE and Transit were invited back to carol by the Sunway group CEO himself, after the great response last year. I guess it's because our carolling is quite interesing, done in a fresh and funny new way (even if we do say so ourselves). We not only carolled in Sunway Medical Centre and Sunway Lagoon Hotel, we also carolled twice in Subang Parade. Due to time constraints, we had to turn down a few other invitations from several hotels and shopping centres. Here we are at the preview in church.


Here we are again on Christmas eve at Sunway Lagoon Hotel. Lydia is doing her solo in the lobby. We were privileged to have a free run from the hotel lobby to several other parts of the hotel including the Avanti Italian-American Ristorante, West Lake Garden Chinese Restaurant, and even the ballroom where the Miss Tourism International Pagaent was being held. Was that a once in a lifetime experience or what?

Singing in Avanti was the fun-nest because the crowd was most sporting. They clapped, cheered, and even sung along. The atmosphere there was really beautiful, and it wasn't too hard for the audience to feel the presence of God. Even in a public restaurant like that.

It was a different kind of Christmas experience to be singing 'Jingle Bells' at the top of your lungs while walking in single file along the shopping centre. Yes, the same place where you just shopped with your friends yesterday.

We were supposed to sing the good news and shout out the real meaning of christmas on the streets, but here we were, joining forces with a dodgy looking santa claus, and his male 'santarina'. Sigh.

This is Sunway Medical Centre, where our carols brought some cheer to the sick patients spending a bleak Christmas. We hope we brightened their day, and we had loads of fun too! This was our rendition of "Felize Navidad"... in an interesting way. If you're wondering why we're covering our mouths with our hands, it's part of the gimmick. Dont know how to explain it... we did something like rubbing our hands together and blowing....






It was a interesting, if not funny, experience. Full of incidents and adventure, pitching and mis-hit notes. But all for the good cause. No problem.
