Beware, change ahead!

Are you ready to break free from the confines of your comfort zone?

Why should I change?

Change is a neccessary part of growth. The pain it brings is often a forecast of the joy that is to come, after we have been tested in the furnace. We can't claim the wonderful promises that God has in store for us, until we change ourselves and take a brave step to let go and move away. Like Abram's move.

It is said that God loves us the way we are. So why should we change? The story is told of a father playing with his daughter in the playground. She slips and falls in the mud, her pretty dress is caked in dirt and her face splattered with brown spots. Does the father still love the daughter? Of course, the dirtiness doesnt make him love her less. But will he leave her that way? Of course not. He'll bathe her and put on fresh clothes so she'll be clean again.

God loves us even when we're covered in the mud of sin. But He loves us too much to leave us the way we are. He'll lead us to wash in rivers of forgiveness and put new robes of righteousness on us. So we're able to stand before His holiness again.

Isn't that a great motivation to change?

How do I know what to do?

To change, we must clarify our purpose and direction. We need to seek God earnestly and as Him to show us where we're headed. Sometimes the answers will not be complete, but when we trust and obey Him, we can be sure that He will not disappoint us. He is with us every step of the way.

Making baby steps in the right direction...

  • Clean out your closets, let go of deep hurts and pain, overcome addictive behaviour. behold i have created new heavens and new earth and the former things shall not come to mind

  • Stay on track with the life goals and hang on to the promises of God, ignoring what we see around us. we live by faith, not sight

  • Focus on the needs of others rather than our own wants. Wallowing in self-pity only saps our energy and robs us of joy. When we turn to helping others instead, we'll be blessed and encouraged! it is more blessed to give than to receive

  • Be inspired to make a change in your ministry attitude, use the gifts that God has given you to serve Him. every good gift comes from God

Head's up, people! we're about to move into a season of change!

...running low on faith and gasoline

When your car runs out of gasoline, do you pour water in the tank and continue to drive? Of course not. You would certainly stop at the nearest petrol station. Even if you're running low on cash, you would pump some gas. Cause you know you can't drive without gas in your tank.

Neither can we continue living our life as a Christian without connecting with God. Life without prayer is as dry as a car without gas. You're driving, but you feel no power. You know you wont get far. Before we feel the jerk of an empty tank, we need to stop in our tracks, reconnect with God, and fill up on the petrol of prayer. Even if we have precious little time to spare, a short few honest words spoken in your heart is all that's needed.

We need God's petrol if we want to rev up our lives!
