First Transit Cell of the New Year

We had cell in church for the very first time, trying out the new sound system for the very first time, and we had 2 newcomers in our midst who were there for the very first time! The icebreaker was a Guys vs Gals game. 8 guys vs 8 gals.
Each side had to come up with 7 multiple-choice questions to stump the other group. Naturally, the girls questions consisted mostly of girlie topics like cosmetics and fashion. (Read: What is the correct way to apply mascara?) Of course, the guys retaliated in factual fashion with killer questions like "what is a steyr aug?" We had fun finding out how little the opposite sex knows about things we pay attention to. I mean, which girl knows what BMW stands for, and which guy knows the name of the diamond with seven hearts and seven arrows in Diamond Platinum? We also had a great time of praise and worship. Yup, this is how we overcome! Bernice spoke about worshiping God with all our emotions, getting excited being a way to express our love to Him by singing, shouting, clapping, dancing, jumping, etc. We are excited about God and we convey Him in all we do. Our lives advertize God. To drive home the message, we played another game. So we were again divided into groups (this time mixed). Each group had to come up with a product to advertize. The only materials given were newspapers, papers, and markers.
They cracked their heads and came up with some really original products like a battery-operated car (trust the marketing student to come up with that gimmick), and an all-in-one handphone and pda with voice recognition system.
They had to present their 'inventions'. And lemme tell you, that was when the 'loyar buruk' side in them surfaced! The way the defended their product and plugged the flaws in their information, foooyoh! Seriously canggih kaw kaw! Salesman also kalah... Let's just say they could sell snow to an eskimo. The judges were duly impressed. They awarded the prize to team F.A.R.T, a.k.a the "recognize" team.

With team Transiters Futuristic (a.k.a team "respect") coming in a close second, only 2 marks apart. We had a great cell! See you next week for more craziness!
